You spoke. We listened. Today, Rivalmaker launched our completely rebuilt website with tons of new features. Over the past year, Rivalmaker had huge success with over 50% of Women’s Division 1 Basketball programs participating. This proved that scheduling with Rivalmaker works and it was time to take it to the next level. Today, we are giving you access to a ton of new features. Sticking to our mission to turn your schedule into a competitive advantage, these new features are FREE for coaches and staff.

What's New in Rivalmaker?

We rebuilt from the ground up to streamline your operations and give you more control than ever before. You now have access to

  • Find MTEs: Easily browse and evaluate MTEs from Universities and third-party organizers that align with your program's needs and schedule.

  • MTE Planning for Coaches and MTE Organizers: A powerful toolset for finding teams to fill your Multi-Team Events (MTEs).

  • Read Receipts: Know when your communications with MTE organizers and other coaches have been seen.

  • Expiring Offers: Sick of other coaches leaving you hanging? Now you can set your offers to expire so you get an answer sooner rather than later!

  • Automatic Contact Info Sharing - No more shuffling through directories or stuffing phone numbers in comment fields. Now when terms of a negotiation are agreed upon, the contact information of the people involved are shown and saved in the Negotiation details.

  • New Sports Integration: We love Women’s Basketball, so we are expanding to include Division 2 and Division 3 as of TODAY. We are expanding into multiple sports soon, so tell you colleagues in Men’s basketball, Women’s and Men’s Soccer, and Volleyball!

What about my account and data?

We have migrated existing Rivalmaker accounts to the new site. You will need to reset your password to access your account. We strive for a 100% perfect migration, but if your account did not make it, please contact us or try making a new one.

There were over 250 individual availability openings set for 2026. These should be 100% migrated. We encourage everybody to log in and check their availability as well as create more for 2026 and 2027. The more options you open, the more opportunities you will see and have.

How do I use the new features?

We love meeting our customers, so contact us if you want a personal tour or a learning session for your whole team!

  • The core University-to-University tool of Rivalmaker remains largely the same. The How-To videos on our website and YouTube channel remain an effective way to learn how to schedule games. 

  • The Expiring Offers feature is simply a date field you apply when editing a Negotiation. It causes the negotiation to automatically Cancel on that date. This is visible to the recipient and reminder emails are sent before it expires. We hope this will drive prompt responses to offers.

  • Read Receipts are a data field on the negotiation that is visible in any list of negotiations you have sent out and are awaiting a reply. We hope this will also drive prompt responses to offers.

  • To Search for MTEs, use the new tabs at the top of the home page to navigate to the “Multi Team Events" page. Here you can browse and filter for MTEs. MTEs will also show up in a list when you open a day on the calendar. 

  • To Create MTEs and find teams to fill them, go to the My Events tab. All MTEs will be approved by Rivalmaker staff. If you are interested in creating one, give it a try, or we can walk you through that process personally. How-To content for the MTE features is on the way!
